Are doTERRA Oils Expensive?

That is a great question! I've had so many people tell me they can't use doTERRA oils because they are expensive.

Expensive is a relative term. Everyone has a different standard as to what expensive is to them. I tell my friends this:

If you buy the 35.00 membership for doTERRA, it pays for itself in 1-3 orders depending on what you buy.
I purchased:

PastTense for 18.50
Lavender for 21.00
Purify for 18.00
Breathe for 20.00

Total: 77.50

These oils I purchased in April and May (I didn't purchase them all at once) and I still have them. They have lasted me almost 4 months. Just one month of my medication was over 100.00. I no longer have to purchase my migraine medication or ambien. Plus, oils are safe and easy on your body. My liver LOVES me.

So yes, oils can be a bit of an investment, but they have saved me so much money in the long run! It all depends on how you look at it.

I also did a lot of research about doTERRA before I decided to purchase the membership. If you are new to essential oils, just be careful of the ones you purchase. The ones you can buy in a drug store or on Amazon (the really cheap oils) are full of carrier oils and chemicals. They can be harmful. doTERRA is 100% pure therapeutic grade oil.

Don't get me wrong, carrier oils are okay to use. I use fractionated coconut oil to make them go further. I also make homemade "lotion" with organic coconut oil and add a few drops of essential oils. It makes application much easier this way.

I'm simply saying:

Please do your research first! You get what you pay for, that is for sure!

OH MY ALLERGIES...

My husband is even more skeptical than I was about essential oils. He would not let me use them on him because he already knew they wouldn't work.

I recently purchased a diffuser. I couldn't afford a name brand one, so I just purchased mine off of Amazon. I love it! It changes colors, you can keep it on one color, or you can turn the light off. I find it relaxing watching the colors change, but that's just me.

Anyway... Back to the story.

My husband has horrible allergies. He has tried most allergy medications with no relief. So I look up online what oils would be good for allergies. I ended up purchasing Breathe and Purify (at this point I already decided it would save me money to sign up the membership). I finally get them and I immediately open them. I have to smell everything when it comes to oils!

He gets home from work and his eyes are watery and he is sneezing like crazy. He goes upstairs for something and I put a few drops of Breathe and Purify in the diffuser. He comes back downstairs and he wanted to know what that smell was. He liked it. I told him they were some new oils I got. He started doing homework and within a few minutes I noticed he wasn't sneezing anymore. He hadn't sneezed in quite some time. I asked him how he was feeling and he said he felt pretty good.

He went back to homework and I turned the diffuser off. It wasn't long and he was sneezing again. I then walk back over to turn the diffuser back on. A bit of time goes by and he isn't sneezing. I looked at him and said how are those allergies. He stated that he felt relief. I had a huge smile on my face and he wonders what I've been up to. So I told him what was in the diffuser and he was in disbelief. Now we keep Breathe and Purify on hand.
